FAQ

How does it work?

Step 1: Initial Consultation
During this consultation, the objective is to learn about the outcome that you would like from your project and your motivations behind it. It is also your opportunity to learn about the process, ask plenty of questions and determine if HOMEid is the right fit for you.

Step 2: Engagement of Services
Once the services for your project have been determined a proposal is sent through for you to accept.

Step 3: Design Brief and Site Measure
This is where the work for your project starts in earnest. The design brief for the project is determined, and where needed site measurements are collected.

Step 4: The Deliverables
Your documentation is prepared, and then we run through it together and answer any questions.

Step 5: Bringing the Vision to Life
The vast array of material suppliers and trade contacts that HOMEid has means that if additional support is needed to source materials or project manage we can provide great recommendations through our partner affiliations.

Is there a fee for the initial consultation?

No there is no fee for the initial consultation. The consultation takes 30 minutes to an hour. The purpose of the consultation is for me to learn about the key outcome that you are looking to achieve from your design. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the process.

How long does the process take?

Each project is unique so the timeframe is dependent on your requirements. However once approved to start most small projects can be completed within 2-4 weeks. Larger projects and virtual tours do take longer and the time frame is based on the scope of the project.

What if I don’t like the design?

The initial consultation and design brief ensures that we are on the same page and headed in the right direction. However our role as designers is to challenge you and take the design in places you may not have imagined. If the end result is not something that you like then your original proposal does include one free round of changes. So far, 100% of customers have loved the final result.

How much will it cost?

Every project is different so the amount of time and requirements for each project is unique. A proposal with a clear outline of fees will be presented to you after the initial consultation.

What areas do you service?

Do you offer remote services?
